We spotted an article in the Cacophony Society newsletter mentioning that there would be a parade of Brides and Bride wannabes, displaying their finery, in Golden Gate Park.  A perfect spring time event.  We noted there would be a Bridal gown fitting session in Oakland, CA and decided to head over there.  The fitting room was in the basement of an abandoned shoe store in downtown Oakland.  The same shoe store where Christine's mother took her to buy shoes when she was a child.

The organizer was surprised and happy to see us, so we set up and waited for the brides to arrive.  They all appreciated how essential a photographer is to any wedding and were thrilled to have us there.

We were fascinated by these men who were explaining the experience of being a bride, and how they played out the stereotypical traditions.
